Physical Review
The Professional Medical Review Officer Staff Assistants of Compliance Safety Systems can provide your firm with a thorough review of your D.O.T. Physicals. This review process can save your company time and provide your firm with confidence that the hiring decision your firm makes meets both the guidelines of the D.O.T as well as your firms designated protocol and requirements. The process starts by your hiring team providing the CSS Medical Review Office with a copy of your company’s hiring criteria that exceeds the required DOT guidelines. Once CSS has this information in place we are able to add this scrutiny to our process so that we can thoroughly review the physical of the hiring candidate. The process starts when the CSS MRO Office receives the faxed copy of the physical from the attending doctors office. The CSS MRO Staff will review the information and transpose the information into our systems electronic format. This format allows for each section of the document to either be Accepted, Rejected or put in Pending status due to the need for clarification of information. The CSS MRO Staff Assistants will review each section of the physical in detail to see that all information that was to be gathered by your medical team was satisfied in order to see that it meets the requirements. If information is incomplete or if it is not properly explained our staff will contact your examining physician for clarification.

EXPECTATIONS

The time that it will take the CSS MRO Assistants to provide your firm with a completed document will depend upon the cooperation of your designated clinic. The clinic must cooperate to get CSS to physical document upon completion. If there is information that was not completed by the physician or information would need to be clarified by the clinic personnel our completion time could be affected by their availability. However we will be very diligent in our duty as we know that you are making a hiring decision on our review and we are aware of the sense of urgency. We estimate an 8 to 24 hour turn around on the document based on the information stated above.
